Whether you're in the mood for a relaxed lunch, a hearty dinner, or a tasty late-night snack, Ian’s offers a delicious array of options that cater to all preferences, including enticing vegan choices.
One of the standouts at Ian's is the signature Mac n’ Cheese pizza. Patrons rave about its creamy, ranch-like flavor that elevates traditional mac and cheese to a whole new level. However, don't overlook the mushroom penne Alfredo pizza, which a recent diner noted as a surprise favorite. Its rich Alfredo sauce creates a delightful fusion that pizza lovers won't want to miss. And while the pizzas are genuinely delicious, some customers have expressed a desire for a more refined crust texture.
Ian’s is not just about fantastic pizza; it’s also a welcoming space for everyone. With outdoor seating options, casual ambiance, and facilities such as gender-neutral restrooms and wheelchair access, it invites groups of all sizes to gather and enjoy good food. The staff is known for their friendliness, creating a warm atmosphere that enhances your dining experience. Many diners have repeatedly praised the service, with one commenting on the staff's willingness to accommodate custom requests, like making a special slice upon request.
At Ian’s, whether you choose to dine in with friends, grab a quick slice, or order delivery, you’re bound to enjoy an experience that’s as flavorful as the pizzas themselves. As one enthusiastic customer put it, Ian’s Pizza on the Hill offers "the best NY style pizza in Seattle"—a claim that is hard to argue with once you take your first bite. So, why not stop by and find out for yourself? Your taste buds will thank you!
“ We got two medium sized pizzas that were a decent amount for 4 people. The Mac n' Cheese pizza is a classic Ian's. The cheese actually blends in really well with the macaroni and the pizza tastes like a creamier ranch Mac and cheese. The surprise was the mushroom penne Alfredo pizza. I would highly recommend this pizza over the the Mac 'n Cheese pizza. The Alfredo sauce blended really well with the pizza overall. We also ordered a ranch on the side that served as a perfect dipping sauce. However, the end crust on the pizza can be better. I ended up throwing away the crust since it felt like biting into cardboard. ”
“ Hands down best NY style pizza in Seattle! Perfectly delicious thin crunchy crust, and a plethora of varieties for their slice-only options. I chose the mac n cheese, as well as the smokey the bandit slices. Hot, fresh, so fab! Please give them a try...!! ”
“ PHATTEST funky slices in town. Loads of vegetarian options, and even some vegan!! (Meaty ones too don't fret). My friend talked up the Mac n cheese slice, they were out but she asked if they'd make one and they did it without question (we ate 80% of it anyways lol). Hot tip: get a side of marinara sauce! ”
“ Great pizzas (including vegan!) and more importantly, all the people who work there are so nice!! ”
“ I stopped by Ian's to pick up some slices for home at 6:30 on a Sunday. There were quite a few people waiting that appeared to be doordash people, but the people working there immediately noticed me and took my order. They put the pizzas by the slice into the oven, and I also saw them rolling out fresh dough to make more pizzas so things are definitely fresh! The actual shop is cute, looks like a cafe and seems like a fun place to stop by for a quick bite for lunch. I got my pizza within 5 min and left! The pizza unsurprisingly didn't stay steaming hot after a 30 min walk in 40 degree weather, but it was still warm but I did quickly heat it up before eating and it was great! The toppings, especially the sausage, was spiced and flavorful, and it was really just a good New York style pizza. I will be back! ”
“ TLDR: I've ordered Ian's probably 20 times in the past 2 years and gone for slices in person at least 10 or so times. They are very consistent and tasty each time. The only drawback is how much time it can take if they are short staffed or slammed. I have waited an hour for a slice before and we'll over an hour for a delivery before. That said, it's usually worth the wait. Food - I love that they have an every growing number of options and especially vegan options. I have tried most of these and they are all pretty good. My favorite pizza is the Mac n cheese pizza (normal not vegan) and I order it 90% of the time. I also recommend the breadsticks with chili ranch. My partner likes the Smokey the bandit, BBQ chicken, and pepperoni pizzas. Service - They are lovely in person but like I mentioned, it just takes a lot of time if they're slammed or understaffed. Ambiance - I have never actually sat inside and will just walk and eat or head to the park to eat. That said, it's got some tables to sit down at if they're open. Many times for late night their dinning room is closed and it's just the take out window though. ”
“ Pizza came fast and was warm when we got it. We ordered from a small window and waited a few min for the pizza to be heated. It's around $7 a slice which is steep! But keep in mind this place seems like more of a specialty pizza place with unique themes. The chicken pizza had bacon and bbq sauce on it, it was pretty good! The curry pizza was also pretty good, something I can confidently say I've never experienced on a pizza. I personally was not a huge fan of the crust, it was a little soft/gummy, but it was still pretty good! ”
“ Across the street from Seattle Central College, this small pizza shop has really good pizza. The men in our party needed a snack and we popped in for a bite. The two women working during our visit were friendly, had a sense of humor and remained casually professional. No pretense here. Good at both customer service and pizza making. Pies are pre-cooked and waiting for your selection, then popped back in the oven to finish up. I did not sample the slices but both got rave reviews. The pepperoni is the type that curls up and makes a little bowl for the oils - crispy with lots of flavor. I like that. If not getting take out, there are a few seats inside, they have free wifi, and drink offerings include soft drinks and beer. There is one restroom at the back. Parking is on street/paid lot. ”
